1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you"), and AutismHearts ("we," "us," or "our"), concerning your use of the AutismHearts.com website (the "Site"). AutismHearts is operated by Zak. Our mailing address is AutismHearts, PO Box 1024, Denver, CO 80201. By using the Site you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Not Medical Advice

AutismHearts is an educational guide and directory. It is not a healthcare provider and does not provide medical, diagnostic, legal, or insurance advice. Guides, screening tools, the AI Care Navigator, and directory listings are for general information and are not a substitute for a qualified professional who knows your situation. 3. Directory Disclaimer

Information Only

AutismHearts acts as a directory. We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the quality, licensing, availability, or insurance acceptance of any provider, therapy, school, or business listed on the Site. Many listings come from the public U.S. National Provider Identifier (NPI) registry and may be incomplete or out of date. Inclusion of a provider is not a recommendation. Please confirm details directly with the provider and verify credentials yourself.

4. Use of the Site

By using the Site, you represent and agree that:

  • Information you submit will be true, accurate, and current.
  • You have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.
  • You will not use the Site for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • You will not access the Site through automated or non-human means, such as bots or scrapers, except for ordinary search-engine and web-archive crawling that follows our robots.txt.

5. Family Inquiries

Providers on the Featured Partner plan may show an inquiry form on their profile. If you submit one, we store it and forward it to the provider as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not guarantee that a provider will respond, have availability, accept your insurance, or be right for you. Submitting an inquiry does not create a patient-provider relationship with us. Please do not include emergency situations, your child's name, or private health details in an inquiry.

6. AI Care Navigator

The AI assistant gives general, plain-language information and can be wrong or out of date. It does not diagnose, treat, or give medical, legal, or insurance advice, and it is not a crisis service. Check anything important with a qualified professional or the official source.

7. Provider Accounts and Claiming a Listing

Providers can claim a listing for free. When you claim a listing you confirm that you are authorized to act for the practice, that the information you give is accurate, and that you will keep it accurate. We may require verification, and we may decline, suspend, or remove a claim or profile content that is inaccurate, misleading, or violates these Terms. You are responsible for your account credentials and for your practice's compliance with the laws that apply to it, including how you handle inquiries you receive from families.

8. Featured Partner Subscription

Featured Partner is an optional paid plan for provider practices. It is a monthly subscription that adds profile features: additional facility photos, an extended bio, a family inquiry form with delivery to the practice, and listing activity reports. Plans and features may change; we will update this page and the provider pages when they do.

  • Price. $49 per month in U.S. dollars [TODO: confirm whether the price is per practice location and whether taxes are added at checkout (the Join page says "per location")]. We may change the price in the future [TODO: Zak / counsel: state how much notice existing subscribers get and how a price change takes effect].
  • Payments. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe using the payment method you enter at Stripe's hosted checkout. We never receive or store full card numbers. By subscribing you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method every month until you cancel. You can update your payment method and see invoices from Manage billing in the provider dashboard (Stripe's customer portal).
  • Free trial. Eligible practices receive a 30-day free trial. Each practice is eligible for one free trial. If your practice has already used a trial, the subscription starts at $49 per month at checkout, and if a trial is started anyway the trial ends immediately and billing begins. For a trial, your payment method is collected when you start and is first charged $49 on day 31, after the trial ends, unless you cancel before the trial ends. We may send a reminder before the trial ends, but you are responsible for canceling in time.
  • Renewal. After any trial, the subscription renews automatically each month at the then-current price until canceled.
  • Failed payments. If a payment fails, we will email you a link to update your payment method, and Featured features may continue for a short grace period (currently 7 days [TODO: confirm the grace period and what happens afterward]) before the listing returns to the free plan.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel from the provider dashboard at any time, or by emailing legal@autismhearts.com. Cancelling stops future renewals; during a free trial it ends the trial without a charge. Featured features stay on until the end of the billing period (or trial) already in progress, then your listing returns to the free plan and the Featured features stop. The photos, bio, and profile details you entered stay saved on your account unless you delete the account, so you can restore them if you resubscribe. Deleting your provider account cancels any active subscription immediately and then removes your account; if we cannot confirm the cancellation with our payment processor, the account is not deleted and we ask you to contact us.
  • Refunds. You can request a refund of a Featured Partner subscription charge within 7 days of that charge by emailing legal@autismhearts.com from the account email. This does not change the 30-day free trial (no charge is made during an eligible trial) and does not limit any rights you have under applicable law.

No pay-to-rank. A paid subscription does not change a listing's position in organic directory results, and it is not a quality rating, credential check, or endorsement. Featured profiles are labeled. See our Disclosure Policy and Directory Standards.

9. Shop and Digital Products

Digital products in our shop are purchased through PayPal as one-time payments, and the download link you receive after payment expires after 24 hours. Some products are sold through Etsy instead, under Etsy's terms. If a download fails or you have an order problem, contact legal@autismhearts.com with your order ID. You can request a refund of a digital product purchase within 7 days of purchase by emailing the same address with your order ID. This does not limit any rights you have under applicable law.

10. Affiliate Links and Recommendations

The Site may include links to third-party products, books, services, or retailers through affiliate programs. AutismHearts may earn a commission when you purchase through one of these links, at no additional cost to you. Recommendations are editorial selections, not endorsements, guarantees, or statements that a product is appropriate for every person. Purchases take place under the third party's terms.

11. Reviews and Submissions

Where the Site shows reviews or invites you to send us information or corrections, anything you submit must be based on your actual experience or a reliable source, and must not contain offensive, abusive, or hateful content, or false or disparaging statements. We may remove content that we determine violates these Terms. By sending us content you give us permission to use it to operate and improve the Site.

12. Corrections and Listing Removal

If a listing is inaccurate or you want it corrected or removed, use our corrections page.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our directors, employees, and agents are not liable to you or any third party for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special, or punitive damages, including lost profit, lost revenue, or loss of data, arising from your use of the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. The Site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

15. Changes and Contact
